International Nurses Day May 2017
The theme for 2017 is Nursing: A voice to lead – Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals
International Nurses Day is celebrated every year all around the world in 12th of May to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Florence Nightingale and to mark the Nurses’ contributions towards the People’s Health.
The Navodaya School and College of Nursing celebrated the International Nurses Day at Navodaya College of Nursing. The dignitaries Dr.T.Srinivas, Registrar, Navodaya education trust, Dr. Vijaychandra, Principal, Navodaya Medical College, Dr.P.Vijaykumar IP/SA, Dr.Dodayya, Principal NET Pharmacy College, Dr.Kowshik, NET Physiotherapy College Dr.Doss Prakash graced the event by the Lamp Lighting ceremony.
The guest of Honour was extended to Mrs.Shameem G.U, Nursing Superintendent NMHRC for her relentless services.
The best staff nurse’ awards were given to Mrs.Kala, OT incharge, Ms.Pratyusha and Mr.Irfan for their best services.
The best student Nurses’ awards were credited to Mr. Rajat Majumdar of III G.N.M and Ms.Lavayana IV B.Sc Nursing.
Cultural and academic awards were distributed to the students who have shown excellent Endeavor. The event concluded with fellowship Lunch for all the Participants and chief guests.
