MENTAL HEALTH NURSING CLINICAL TRAINING PRESENTATION-2024
Navodaya College of Nursing’s B.Sc. Nursing III year students hosted a presentation on their mental health nursing clinical experience titled “Days at Cadabams.” The event was held in the AV Hall of the Central Library on 6th July 2024. Mrs. Tabitha, Associate Professor, Department of Mental Health Nursing outlined the clinical training objectives. Students presented their psychiatric case studies, including cases of schizophrenia, manic depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, and alcoholism. The Training Program Coordinator, Ms.Choudamma, presented a detailed report about clinical posting schedules. Additionally, Students performed roleplays, mime, dance, and skits on various aspects of psychiatric illness, counselling, health education, and treatment modalities such as psychotherapy. Principal Prof. Hetzy Suthanakumari addressed the gathering, provided feedback, and commended the students for their enthusiasm and learning about mental illness.
